INT ALKYD SANDING SEALER

A clear sealer for use on new or freshly sanded interior wood surfaces. Prevents raising of the wood grain and is an excellent first coat for use under both gloss and satin varnishes. Not recommended for use under polyurethane varnishes. Can be used as a wash coat to control wild grain in plywood and provide uniformity of staining by reducing it with equal parts of sanding sealer and mineral spirits. Also an excellent sealer coat over natural or stained wood. It can be tinted with up to 2 oz. of colorant per gallon for use as a stain sealer. Dries to a clear semi-gloss finish to sand and recoat in 2 to 4 hours. Apply with brush or spray. Thin with up to half pint mineral spirits per gallon for spray application. Covers 350 to 500 sq. ft. per gallon depending on porosity of wood. Clean up with paint thinner or mineral spirits.
